You could save a lot on the wood by finding an old shed or barn and offering to take down the barn for the owner, You’ll end up with more than you need but, it’s called barn wood and it sells for sometimes more than 2×4’s at the lumber yards.

A lot of people are making old sheds and there are people with trucks and large flatbed trailers that go around looking for barns in disrepair or haven’t been used in many years. Most of the farmers and ranchers know there’s value in the wood but, they just don’t want to be bothered to take it all away.

Are you able to give me the dimensions of the coop minus the run? I have An 8×8 cement pad I’m working with and I want to make sure it fits before I purchase. This is adorable though!
