The idea of marrying the Cajón with the Bongo drum had excited me for a long time and after months of sketching, experimenting and prob- lem solving I can still vividly remember that day when the first iteration was completed. The joy of playing an instrument that I had made was unforgettable and I still love the unique mix of tones that the Cajóngo allows. It amazes me that others like you have an interest in making some- thing I invented! I will treasure this feeling and I am so grateful that I have been able to create something to bring others excitement and joy too. Let’s make some music! 😉

The digital PDF Plans include easy to follow and clear step by step instructions, together with 3D diagrams, recommended tools, a material and cut list. Painting and varnishing tips are also included.

Metric measurements are used, and standard South African wood sizes, however, without much fuss, one can always convert this to imperial units. If you choose to have your wood cut at your local hardware store, then this project can be built with limited tools, eliminating the need for a table saw and mitre saw, making the project even simpler and quicker to build.

This really is a handy piece of furniture and can be used for many different purposes. A games cabinet, stationary cabinet, book case, computer, iPad and cell phone charging station, for crockery and cutlery storage, to mention but a few.
